Today, I wanted to post about the best things to buy at the best times. A lot of times I find myself buying things that are terrible quality just because I want to save a few quick bucks. There are a few things that I have decided to take the plunge with in recent months. Honestly, I could have been happier! I will show you the before product and the after product.

1.Makeup setting spray– I’m not huge on primers because I’m deathly afraid of things making me feel like I’ll breakout. This means I rely heavily on a good moisturizer and a setting spray.

I used to use Victoria’s Secret’s ‘Make It Last Prime Setting Spray’, but when it was discontinued I had to find a new one. I tried Urban Decay’s ‘All Nighter’ Long Lasting Setting Spray.  I honestly loved it. I bought the trial size and it lasted almost 4 months. It made my makeup look just as it did at night as it had in the morning. (Does that make sense?) I get sweaty face so bad! It’s genetic, most of my siblings will report the same problem. So the words “temperature control technology” on that bottle are true. My makeup seriously didn’t sweat, that stuff is genie magic. Make sure when using you just do one spray. That’s plenty if you ask me.

2. Curling Irons- I used to use the Wal-Mart Con-air curling iron. I loved that curling iron, but because my hair is coarse and very thick, it always took forever to curl my hair. My sister-in-law got a NuMe curling iron and let me try it. It was so fast at heating up and curling my hair!

3. The Nude Pump- We all need to have nude pumps in our arsenal. They are essential to  outfit success in both personal and professional circumstances. I used to have the traditional round toe pumps that were patent leather. These were fine (and confession: they still live in my closet in case of emergency.Is anyone else still guilty of that!?) but they were always so uncomfortable and kind of not the most flattering on me. I decided to change to the buttery, soft leather ‘Okala’ Pump by Sam Edleman. These are so great and comfortable. The only complaint is that when your feet sweat they slide like with any leather shoe, causing some sore spots. (This was only in intense heat! Don’t worry!) Come early fall it will be great.
