Hello, little pretties! Welcome back. Today, we are taking a look back at one of my most popular post “The Little Denim Dress”! If you can’t remember, let me refresh your memory..

You guys loved my little Anthro dress just as much as I do! The problem with our favorite denim dresses is that when fall come we have to figure out how to dress them a little differently. The other day, I didn’t want to wear a tank-top under my dress and happened upon new ways to style this little number for the up coming season! (hashtag modestprobs.) Continue reading below for two looks and more details on how to style you favorite summer dresses in fall. (BRACE YOURSELVES! SO much writing ahead.)

LOOK 1

This look probably should have been done with a more dark tone sweater. I was probably too excited about the soft feel of my sweater, but I really like the feminine vibe of this look. I also paired it with suede booties and one of my favorite bags. This look can be achieve by throwing a crew neck or boat neck sweater over the top of your favorite denim dress (or sun dress if it isn’t too summery! Such as eyelet!).

The back of my sweater has a lace inset so that gave my look extra character. I also tried the hair style that was spotted at fashion week on our favorite bloggers like “The Blonde Salad”, Cara Loren, and more. What do you guys think of my Princess Leia buns? I have a ton of hair so it was hair to get them up there! #hairbulge on the back of my head! Haha.

My sweater and dress are both about a year old from Anthropologie, so I’ve linked similar items below. My booties are from Last Chance in Scottsdale, AZ. Have you guys heard about that place? It’s all brand new Nordstrom merch that is severely discounted. I got theses leather/suede Steve Madden booties there for around $12-13!?? I purchased them when I was first married, so they are about to be thrown away. That is sad for me because I am still so in love with them. The heels are worn funny.. note how my foot is crooked in above photo. Haha. I’ve linked a maternity denim dress below, but I bet we could make it work. 😉

LOOK 1 Deets:

DRESS: Anthropologie (similar here, here, here), SWEATER: Anthropologie (similar here), BOOTIES: Steve Madden (I couldn’t find any like mine, but check out these.), BAG: Old Navy (40% off with code COZY)

LOOK 2

I definitely think this outfit is more of an edge-y look. It is more on trend in my opinion. Look 1 is more classic, but this is a little more fun. I was literally walking out the door for this shoot and grabbed my cardigan. While driving to our shoot, I hoped this look would work. I get questions from people all the time asking how to style themselves. I feel that I have no magic answer because I am just laying in bed or in the shower and I begin to think of ideas of how to style an outfit. These outfits could be for the next day, a shoot, or for an upcoming event, maybe even for church on Sunday! I think it is a creative release for me. Hopefully, this post helps a little bit with some style anxiety out there.

For this outfit, I really wanted to combine my favorite longline cardigan and our favorite denim dress. It makes everything seem a little more oversized and comfortable, which makes it kind of cool-girl to me. (I know my mom is cringing looking at this. She hates oversized styles. Haha) I love hats. I paired a hat with this because fall is the perfect time to wear hats. I love hats so much like I stated before, but they are way too hot for me during summertime! Now is the time to break them out ladies (and gents??)! I chose the lace-up flat because they are more feminine when everything else in this outfit is a little bit more harsh and dark. If you can’t tell, they are forrest green which I absolutely love.
