A Few Tricks to Keep You Young

Hi Everyone! With daylight savings here, it’s a good time to catch up on sleep. Surprisingly, I feel more tired than ever the last few days. In other news, I was was diagnosed with eczema on my hand last week. Kind of crazy, right? I thought it would be fun to tell you about recent changes in my skin care regimen and how it’s effected me! I know we are all looking for the best and least expensive products. Today, I’m sharing a few of my favorites that don’t aggravate eczema or my acne! (Great combo right? Ughh). Processed with VSCO with c1 preset

First- Coconut Oil.

All right, I’ll admit I was skeptical. People talk about how natural oils do so much for your skin, health and hair care. I did try it as a hair mask, but I didn’t love the results. I’m excited to try oil pulling when I finish whitening my teeth. To learn more about oil pulling, click here. Currently, I am using coconut oil as a makeup remover. I have been using waterproof mascara lately which helps my eyelashes stay curled. (Straightest eyelashes ever!!) I’m happy to report that my coconut oil removal is not only effective in saying, “bye bye” to eye makeup, but also moisturizes your lashes. I’m excited each day to put on mascara because my eyelashes seem a hundred times longer. I also have bags under my eyes like you wouldn’t believe! Coconut oil remover has helped my senesitive under eyes. Processed with VSCO with c1 presetProcessed with VSCO with c1 preset

When choosing a coconut oil, really the only thing that matters is that it is virgin and unrefined. This means it’s all natural and good to use! I got the Great Value brand, and I love it! (Cheap and effective!) To remove eye makeup, simple get a tiny bit of hardened coconut oil. I just use clean fingers to scoop it into my palm. Then, rub directly on your closed eyes. Have a warm, wet washcloth on hand. You may have to repeat a few times to get all eye makeup off. I always cleanse after using makeup removers to get rid of the excess oil.

Second-Ponds Wrinkle Cream

I really have been wanting to try and be dedicated to a wrinkle cream. I have obviously read the same things all of you have–start using a wrinkle cream while you are still young. I already am getting some wrinkles across my forehead (I’m a little too expressive with my face)!

Pond’s Rejuveness Anti-Wrinkle cream is literally one of the most highly rated things I’ve ever read about. People cannot say enough good about it. Honestly, after using it for awhile, I can’t say enough good things about it either. It smells like baby powder(kind of) but it is such a great formula. I have extremely dry, sensitive skin, so anytime I use anti-wrinkle cream or a new cream on my face I worry about breakouts. Luckily, nothing at all so far. I actually have better skin (in reference to acne, I also use this for acne) than before after using this bad boy. Try it out, it’s affordable! It’s about $7 for the larger tub that I have. You can also get a travel size for $2 to try!

Third – Eucerin.

Eucerin has been a huge blessing since finding out I have eczema. I was honestly kind of shocked that I had eczema. It was the weirdest looking rash I’d ever seen and it didn’t resemble typical eczema I had seen in the past. (You guess right, I’m doing steroids now! Haha for my hand.) The more I use this Eucerin cream, the faster my eczema flare up goes down. It’s exciting to see my hand heal after having eczema for a few months without relief. If anyone has good tips, I’m all ears! I really don’t want to have another flare up after this one is completely healed. (Sorry for the novel about my eczema! Sensitive skin probs.) I also use Eucerin on other parts of my body that are really dry, such as knees, elbows, and arms (I get dry patches there)!

If you are tired like me, don’t let your skin look tired. Using good products that help you look younger and refreshed makes all the difference. Another one of my tips is to continually drink water. It always makes my skin look waaaaay, wayyyy better and keeps my headaches at bay!

I hope you find this post helpful. I think/hope you will if you have super sensi skin like me! Now, I’m just going to curl up with my social media book and take a gooooood, long nap. Meow.

Tune in tomorrow for the deals! I know I’ve been dragging on my job. I’m compiling a huge list for your shopping pleasure. 🙂

xoxo
