Hi there! Welcome back to both of us. I honestly needed a little break to figure out what I wanted to do with this blog. I sometimes just want to write feelings, but who the heck wants to read that? I also want to be able to share a piece of my life without making the entire thing written down or chronicled in a picture or post. I thought a good way to dip my toes back in would be to share my January favorites with you! I want to share one of these each month. It can be shoes, makeup, etc. that I have been using a lot for the past month! This way you can get a mini review from me before buying anything. Win, win.

Briefly, I’ll explain a few choices. I always love a good lip, so I chose to put in my favorite nighttime balm. I have been using this for years, and it always heals my lips so quickly. It makes it perfect for them to be exfoliated before putting on liquid or regular lipstick. The Tarte lip set was a random purchase because I wanted to try their brand. I am obsessed with this set!

I tried “It’s So Big” mascara about two months ago and can’t get it off my mind. It literally has performed better than the free full sized tubes I’ve gotten of Elizabeth Arden or Lancome Definicils. It is the perfect amount of wet, but not too wet. This has made it so easy to build up for a defined, but still natural look.

I got H&M suede loafers for a steal of a deal. They only cost around $20. That was an amazing buy for me. I typically only buy shoes that are good quality so I can wear them out. (Ps… they’re the softest suede I’ve ever felt!)

Lastly, I made homemade scrubs for myself and my mother in law for Christmas. Honestly, it was the first time, so I know how to improve it for next time. I am obsessed with using it because it seriously helps my eczema heal. (I have tiny patches on my upper arms). Coconut oil is the base of the scrub I made. Have you ever made a scrub? What do you recommend? Be sure to moisturize after using a scrub!
